In Town for a while...but what a Treat!
August has found me grounded in Los Angeles as I'm investing in some property. Luckily for me, one of my amazing clients, Jim Connelly, (www.teamcuisine.com) decided to celebrate his birthday in high-style with a privately catered event. I felt like I was on a tropical island retreat center at a 5-star restaurant!Now the reason this event made the Freedom Blog is because I believe this man lives his passion every day. That, to me, is the ultimate expression of freedom. And the fact that he and his gorgeous wife Renee decided to share it with their close friends is a cause to celebrate.
Let me just set the tone for you here. First, their home is just amazing. Check out the beautiful setting for this extravaganza. Bob Cotto (www.wethepeoplela.org) and his beautiful wife are the centerpiece of the "love seat." And we had to take pictures of the 5th and 6th courses (by the 7th course our taste buds were in heaven) On top of it all, they served some of the best French champagne and wines I've ever had.
The night was one of the most wonderful evenings I've ever had. Some of my favorite things -- amazing food, awesome environment and great friends. What more could a girl want?
